Banke office turns into isolation center as staffers test COVID-19 positive



NEPALGUNJ: The Internal Revenue Office (IRO) building in Nepalgunj has been converted into an isolation center for civil servants in the districts as most of the IRO staffers tested for coronavirus.

According to Naresh Shreshtha, the corona focal person at the District Health Office, the office was converted into an isolation center as 12 staffers tested positive for coronavirus.

Shrestha said the 12 infected staffers are kept in the office-turned-isolation center.

Other civil servants testing positive in the district will also be kept in the same isolation center.

Meanwhile, several staffers at the Banke District Court and the Transportation Office, Banke have also tested positive for coronavirus.

After finding new cases of coronavirus pandemic in the district, other isolation centers formerly shut up are also brought to operation.

Banke has reported 437 coronavirus cases so far out of which 54 are still in isolation centers. There are still 116 people languishing in various quarantine centers in the district.
