Chinese national gets 7-day detention for abusing a girl in Sohrakhutte



KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu ordered a seven-day detention to a Chinese national for abusing a woman in Sohrakhutte in Kathmandu.

A case of indecent behavior was filed against a Chinese national on Sunday, said DSP Deepak Khadka of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchaur. The district administration office has ordered a seven-day detention.

“Although two Chinese nationals were arrested on Saturday for abusing a girl, one of them was not found guilty,” he said.

Locals had thrashed them when the Chinese were abusing the girl.

The police took control of the two after the locals informed the law enforcement agency, DSP Deepak Khadka at Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchaur said.

“A Chinese man in Chhetrapati offered a coffee to a girl which she had refused. Then, two Chinese nationals followed the girl,” he said.

Although the victim demanded to register the complaint on Saturday, it was registered on Sunday morning only.
