A teenager at a Child Reform Center dies



MORANG: A teenager at the Biratnagar-based Child Reform Center died today morning.

According to District Police Office Morang, Veenam Sanwa, 17, died in a reform center in Biratnagar.

DSP Man Bahadur Rai, the spokesperson of Morang Police confirmed that Sanwa of Mauwa Rural Municipality-4 Taplejung was ‘passing his time’ in the reform center in a murder allegation.

According to DSP Rai, Sanwa was suffering from kidney related problems since last few weeks.

After he had health hazards like diarrhea and vomiting, he was admitted to the ICU of the Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College.

Rai shared that the doctors informed the police that Veenam died of kidney failure.

Afterthe  District Court Taplejung held him responsible for a murder and ordered him a 16-year-long imprisonment, he was passing his jail term in the child reform center since Jan 11, 2020.
