Four children killed in Rolpa bomb explosion



ROLPA: Four children have been killed in a bomb explosion at Triveni Rural Municipality-7, Gairigaun of the district on Thursday.

Chairman of the rural municipality Shanta Kumar Oli told Khabarhub four children between seven to 11 years died on the spot in the explosion that took place when the kids were returning home after grazing goats.

Oli said that other explosives have been found around the incident site. A bomb disposal squad from the Nepali Army is working to defuse other IEDs believed to be there.

DSP Chitra Bahadur Gurung said that a police team has been mobilized to the incident site and detail of the explosion is awaited.

“A police team led by Police Inspector has been dispatched from Area Police Office, Holeri to find out the detail of the incident,” DSP Gurung said.
