Death toll in UK climbs to 26, 097 after 795 die in 24 hrs



KATHMANDU: The death toll in the United Kingdom (UK) has reached 26, 097 after 795 died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday morning.

It has surpassed even Spain in terms of deaths. According to Worldometer,  with 4, 076 new cases,  the number of infection cases has surged to 165, 221.

Currently, 138, 780 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1, 559 are critical.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 227,906 and infecting 3,216,808 people as of Thursday morning.
