Italy reports 27, 682 deaths after 324 die in 24 hrs



KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has 324 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 27, 682 as of Thursday morning.

The number of infection cases in the country has reached 203, 591 after 2, 086 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.

Currently, 104,657 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,795 are critical. Meanwhile, 71,252 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 227,906 and infecting 3,216,808 people as of Thursday morning.
