93 COVID-19 suspects outside Kathmandu Valley put in isolation



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has said that 93 COVID-19 suspects expect in Kathmandu Valley are undergoing treatment in isolation.

As per the data released by the Ministry, 19 patients have been kept in isolation in Province 1, eight in Province 2, 30 in Bagmati Province and three in Gandaki Province.

Likewise, 25 have been kept in isolation in Province 5, four in Karnali Province and eight in Sudurpaschim Province have been kept in isolation.

Till date, one in Sudurpaschim Province, one in Province 5 and one in Gandaki Province have tested positive for COVID-19 outside the Valley.

The Ministry said that 1,299 foreign returnees are currently in quarantine in all the seven provinces, adding that 16,367 quarantine beds have been so far readied.

Likewise, provincial governments have readied 1,368 isolation beds and 1,370 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have been distributed so far.
