KATHMANDU: The Department of Roads (DoR) has started ‘road mapping’ in Kathmandu during the day time utilizing the lockdown imposed by the government to contain the spread of coronavirus.

DoR is now busy with painting road lines and zebra crossings as Kathmandu’s roads are vacant due to the lockdown.

The Road Division Office Kathmandu said they are working on the road after seeking the permission from the authorities concerned to work.

The Office said only 3-4 people are working on it amid the pandemic virus.

The DoR has plans to add some 40 kilometers black-topped roads in the valley.

Earlier, the DoR used to work at night.
