Number of COVID-19 infected in US reaches 141,854

KATHMANDU: American has topped the list of coronavirus-affected countries after 255 died and 18, 276 were infected with the novel virus in the last 24 hours.

With the new cases, the total death toll in the US has reached 2, 475 while the number of infected has climbed to 141, 854. A total of 4,435 people have recovered after treatment.

According to figures collated by Worldometer, 18, 276 people have been infected and 255 died in a single day. The condition of 2,970 among those undergoing treatment is critical.

As many as 82 died in New York alone in the last 24 hours.  Similarly, 13, 386 were infected in New Jersey with 161 deaths.

Likewise, California has recorded 6, 204 infection cases and 131 deaths.

American has imposed an indefinite state of emergency and banned all international flights after the novel virus has spread to its all states.
