Three nabbed with counterfeit note printing machine



KANCHANPUR: Three persons have been arrested in Kanchanpur along with a counterfeit note printing machine.

Among the arrested are Ritika Bam, an Indian national living in Bhimdatta Municipality-18 of Kanchanpur, her husband Anuj Sharma, and Deepak Nath of Bhagatpur.

The District Police Office, Kanchanpur paraded them amidst a press conference on Monday.

District Police Chief Superintendent of Police Mukunda Marasini said that fake notes, a laptop, a printing machine, and documents were also recovered from them.

“Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused went to a shop in rural areas with old people and children to buy goods with counterfeit notes,” said Marasini, “Indian nationals Sharma and Bam (husband and wife) have been staying here and engaging in illegal activities.”
