Man nabbed for duping Rs 1.6 million in pretext of employment in Portugal



KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Crime Division of Nepal Police has nabbed a man involved in the fraud of Rs 1.6 million from Sundhara, Kathmandu on Sunday.

The arrested is Shiva Narayan Chaudhary, 33, of Omsatiya-6 in Rupandehi and currently living in Sohrakhutte, Kathmandu.

Chaudhary has been nabbed in allegations of committing fraud taking 1.6 million rupees from two persons promising them employment in Portugal.

Chaudhary had made two persons of Rupandehi deposit Rs 1,625,250 in his bank account and had provided them fake documents including offer letter, visa among many others.

The division informed that Chaudhary has been sent to Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu on Monday for further investigation.
