Dry port construction process to be forwarded soon: Minister Bhatta

GODAWARI: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta has said the process to build a dry port in Kanchanpur district of Sudurpaschim Province would be taken forward very soon.

Talking to journalists associated with the Press Association Nepal at his residence at Godawari Municipality-1 here Friday, Minister Bhatta reiterated that the government would forward the dry port-related works with utmost priority.

The technical team of his Ministry begins works from November 1 for it. The Minister shared that study was initiated to build industrial area at Daiji of Kanchanpur district, at Dudejhari of Lamki Chuha Municipality, and special economic zone at Haraiya of Kailali district.

Likewise, he informed that works relating to construction of a blacktopped road at Phalam Khani in Baitadi district, Dipayal- Khutiya Marga, Chakudanda-Faltude in Kailai district were also forwarded.

Furthermore, he viewed that the Geta Medical College in Kailai district should be developed as the first medical university of the Sudurpaschim Province.
