Bhaktapur records six deaths in home isolation so far



BHAKTAPUR: A 77-year-old woman died of COVID-19 in home isolation at Katunje of Suryabinayak Municipality-5 on Friday morning.

She was initially admitted in a hospital for dialysis and tested positive for the coronavirus eight days back.

It is the sixth case that the COVID-19 patient lost lives in home isolation in Bhaktapur district, according to Chief of Public Health Office in Bhaktapur, Krishna Mijar.

Meanwhile, a 79-year-old man died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at Bhaktapur Hospital on Friday, said medical superintendent, Dr Sumitra Gautam. The elderly person from Chundevi of Bhaktapur Municipality-1 had tested positive to coronavirus three weeks back.

Both dead bodies were managed by a team of Nepal Army.

So far, Bhaktapur district has recorded 71 deaths caused by the coronavirus, Mijar added.
