IGP Thapa bids farewell to police personnel heading for UN Mission



KATHMANDU: IGP Shailesh Thapa Chhetri bade farewell to the police to be deployed as Formed Police Unit (FPU) under UN Peace Keeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan.

According to Nepal Police, IGP Thapa bade farewell the police to be deployed as FPU’s 17th team best wishes amidst a program organized in the Police Headquarters in Kathmandu today.

He handed the national flag to the SP Surendra Prasad Mainali, the contingent commander of the team representing Nepal.

Nepal Police stated that there are 180 members SP to Office Assistant.

The police to personnel will be sent in two different groups on November 2 and November 26, respectively.
