Nepal, Israel sign labor pact

KATHMANDU: Nepal and Israel signed a new labor pact, paving the way for Nepalis to work in Israel through G2G system.

It should be noted that a meeting of the Cabinet earlier this month decided to sign an agreement with Israel to send Nepalis to work in Israel as caregivers.

Nepal’s Ambassador to Israel Dr Anjan Shakya signed the agreement with the Israeli government.

With this, Nepalis can work at the hospitals and other facilities in Israel.

Nepal will now send as many as 500 Nepalis to Israel in the first phase. They are expected to leave for Israel in the next three months.

Israel has remained a good choice for Nepali migrant workers.
