NC Veep Nidhi objects to govt’s statement over Nepal-China border dispute

KATHMANDU: Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi has taken strong exception to the government’s statement that the disputed territory in Humla belongs to China without proper investigation.

Speaking at a zoom interaction organized by Saheed Smriti Pratisthan on Tuesday Vice President Nidhi said the government issued its statement ignoring the elected representatives’ claim that the encroached land in Humla belongs to Nepal.

Similarly, Nidhi also objected to the statement given by Nepali Ambassador to China Mahendra Bahadur Pandey that the China’s administrative system is exemplary at a time when the dispute over territory is going on between the two countries.

He argued that the Nepal government did not send the ambassador to China for embracing the Chinese administrative system.

“Has the Nepal government sent the Nepali Ambassador to China to embrace the Chinese administrative system by replacing the current federal democratic political system of Nepal?, asked  Nidhi.

Nidhi said such types of immature and irresponsible statements on the part of the ambassadors and the governments are putting the current political system of Nepal at jeopardy.
