Four killed in Jajarkot landslide

KALIKOT: Four people have died and three missing in a landslide in Tilagufa municipality-1 of Kalikot district Sunday morning.

Chief of Kalikot Police DSP Shyam Babu Oliya said 40-year-old Paryak Shahi, his seven-year-old daughter Hima Shahi, five-year-old son Nirajan Shahi, and two-year-old Akkal Shahi were killed after landslide swept away their house this morning.

Paryak’s wife Punya and another person were rescued from under the rubble, police said.

They are receiving treatment in Jumla.
