Govt reduces PCR test fee to Rs 4,400



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to reduce the fee for PCR test by Rs 1,100. With this, the test will cost Rs 4,400 from now onwards.

According to the Ministry, the government has decided to reduce the fee as the availability of test kits has eased now. Earlier, the hispitals used to charge Rs 5,500 for each test.

Now that the private hospitals and laboratories should not charge more than the amount fixed by the government.
