NCP Secretariat meet underway at Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: A Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place on Saturday morning.

The meeting started at 9 am at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, informed Surya Thapa, Press Advisor to the Prime Minister.

Thapa said the meeting will try to reach consensus on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact in the party.

The international dispute became more intense in the party after the MCC was included in the budget for the fiscal year 2020/21.

The meeting is also expected to discuss the Constitution amendment bill, coronavirus pandemic and the steps taken by the government to contain it.
