Parliamentary committee suggests new law on infection disease

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary committee has advised the government to bring a new law regarding the infection disease.

A meeting of the Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee under the National Assembly held on Tuesday suggested the government to this effect in view of the Coronavirus fear.

The suggestions will include the duties and responsibilities to be performed by the citizens during the lockdown to facilitate the activities of the government.

Meanwhile, the government has suggested that the government should bring programs to boost the morale of the health workers, effectively manage the quarantine camps and ensure the availability of the medical goods.

Similarly, the Committee has also urged the government to distribute relief materials to the daily wage earners, prevent black marketing, and ensure smooth transportation of those stranded in various places in the country.
