SC orders govt to furnish details on Fewa Lake encroachment



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday ordered the government to furnish details about the status of its previous order on the Fewa lake encroachment in Pokhara.

A joint bench of Justice Prakashman Singh Raut and Prakash Dhugana today ordered the Office of the Prime Minister and the authorities concerned to submit details on the issue.

Advocate Khagendra Subedi had filed a contempt of court against Prime Minister, Minister for Land Management Padma Kumari Aryal, among others seeking court’s order concerning the delay in abiding by the SC’s decision.
