NCP Prachanda-Nepal faction takes to the streets against House dissolution (photo/video)

KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has taken out protest rallies from 13 places in Kathmandu against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

The disgruntled faction has been staging protests on Tuesday saying that the government’s decision to dissolve the HoR is unconstitutional anti-democratic and against the mandate of the people.

The Prachanda-Nepal faction is holding a huge mass meeting at Bhrikutimandap today in which top-notch leaders including NCP Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda are scheduled to address the gathering, according to NCP sources.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the federal parliament on the recommendation of the Oli-led government on December 20.
