FIR filed against former lawmaker Gupta in Mukesh Chaurasiya murder case

PARSA: After the police turned hesitant to file FIR against the alleged in Mukesh Chaurasiya murder case, the family and relatives have filed the case through the district attorney’s office.

The relatives of Chaurasiya have prepared an FIR against 12 Nepal Communist Party (NCP) local leaders and cadres allegedly involved in the murder of Chaurasiya, a local leader of NCP.

They had been pressing the district police requesting it to register FIR against former Constituent Assembly Member Raj Kumar Gupta and others involved in the incident.

However, despite their protest and mounting public pressure, apparently due to political pressure Parsa Police has been hesitant about registering the case.

The irate relatives of the murder victims have filed the case against the alleged Gupta and his group through the district attorney’s office.

The NCP’s secretary of Bindabasini Rural Municipality was assaulted by another faction of the same party in a program organized in the area.

Seriously injured Chaurasiya had died on Friday while undergoing treatment at the Birgunj-based LS Neuro Hospital.

However, without much investigation in the issue, the police had refused to register the case against the alleged claiming the list included some names not involved in the incident.

The police have nabbed three persons connected with the incident when most of the alleged are absconding.
