Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll hits 904 with 17 new fatalities



KATHMANDU: A total of 17 people died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Nepal.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus death toll has reached 904 as of Thursday afternoon with the new deaths.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 164,718 as of Thursday afternoon after 2,634 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 9,769 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.

A total of 3,038 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 124,862 in the country.

Nepal currently has 38,952 active cases.

Likewise, 2,689 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.
