Govt mulls opening areas shut since lockdown

A meeting of Crisis Management Center (CCMC).

KATHMANDU: The Direction Committee of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) will be deciding on lifting some more coronavirus restrictions after receiving a proposal from the concerned ministries.

Announcing the decisions of the meeting, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Mahendra Prasad Guragain, said that a decision has been taken to study the remaining areas to be opened.

The meeting also decided to further manage the ongoing rescue operations from third countries.

Secretary Guragain said, “It has been decided to rescue the remaining Nepali nationals as soon as possible by arranging more flights in a more systematic manner.”

Currently, schools and educational institutions, group games and their training, entertainment venues and cinema halls, salons, beauty parlors and gyms, religious places and other areas are still closed.
