KATHMANDU: The Department of Labor has stated that the license of over 100 outsourcing companies that have not joined the Social Security Fund has not been renewed.

Although the government has introduced a policy to bring public and private companies into the Social Security Fund, the government has made an arrangement not to renew such companies as many companies are not willing to join it.

Maninath Gope, Spokesperson of the department, said that all the 11 labor offices under the department have not renewed the companies that are not part of the Social Security Fund.

According to him, more than 100 outsourcing companies have not been renewed.

He informed that none of the companies not affiliated with the social security fund have been renewed, adding that only 50-60 outsourcing companies have been renewed so far.
