House panel summons Home Minister Thapa over Bajhang incident



KATHMANDU: A Parliamentary Committee has summoned Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa to discuss the incident of rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Bajhang.

The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives summoned Home Minister Thapa for a discussion on Wednesday.

Committee Chairperson Shahi Shrestha said that the Bajhang incident was being discussed with Home Minister Thapa at the meeting slated for tomorrow.

A 12-year-old girl was killed after being raped on September 23.

Her body is still at the district hospital as the family members have not agreed to receive the body demanding action against the culprit.
