Province 2 witnesses seven COVID-19 deaths in last 24 hrs



JANAKPUR: Province 2 recorded seven more coronavirus-related deaths— one woman and six men—in the last 24 hours.

According to Province 2 Directorate of Health, three from Parsa, two from Mahottari and two from Siraha have succumbed to the coronavirus.

A 48-year-old man of Birgunj Metropolis-12, a 37-year-old man of Birgunj-22 and a 65-year-old woman of Birgunj-12 in Parsa have died of the coronavirus infection on Saturday.

Similarly, a 35-year-old man of Bhangha Municipality-1 and a 70-year-old man of Pipara Rural Municipality-7 of Mahottari succumbed to the pandemic.

A 55-year-old man of Sukhipur Municipality-8 and a 45-year-old man of Lahan Municipality-18 died of the infection, according to the Ministry of Social Development.

A total of 84 people, including 13 women and 71 men, have died from the coronavirus infection in the province so far.

As many as 33 people have died of the coronavirus in Parsa, 13 in Bara, 12 in Dhanusha, eight in Mahottari, five in Saptari, seven in Siraha and three each in Sarlahi and Rautahat.
