Shashank Koirala says he would contest for the party president



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Shashank Koirala has said he would vie for the post of party President in the upcoming general convention of the party.

The party is holding its 14th general convention from February 19-22, 2021 in Kathmandu.

Speaking to journalists at the party office in Sanepa on Wednesday, Koirala claimed that since he has the skill to lead the party in a unified manner, he would make it to the party’s top post.

“I have the guts to lead the party,” he said reiterating that he can lead the party to a new high.
