34 including Nepal Police and Nepal Army test COVID-19 positive in Parsa



BIRGUNJ: Thirty-four people, including Nepal Army and Nepal Police personnel, have tested positive for coronavirus in the tests carried out in the Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital’s laboratory on Wednesday.

According to Dr. Udaya Narayan Singh, one NA personnel, 3 Nepal Police personnel and 2 staff and 6 jailbirds of Birgunj prison have tested positive.

Likewise, a doctor of Narayani Hospital has also tested COVID-19 positive. Among others include one person Birgunj-11 Shreepur, eight from ward No. 15, two from ward No. 10, one from ward No. 32, three each from ward No. 5 and ward No. 25 and one each from ward No. 9 and ward No. 12.

These cases found coronavirus positive are aged between 2 to 65 years.

According to Dr. Singh, one female, 40, have tested positive in Haraiya-1.

He informed that as many as 76 people with coronavirus positive record are kept at home quarantine as the isolation ward of Narayani Hospital Temporary Corona Special Hospital has already been occupied by 61 earlier cases.

With 34 new cases added to the COVID-19 case list, the number of coronavirus cases in Parsa has reached 306.
