Man held with garlands of prayer beads in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man with garlands of prayer beads in the Kathmandu Valley.

A team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Swoyambhu arrested Saroj Timsina with prayer beads and some beads (Bodhi Chitta).

Acting on a tip-off, that prayer beads were kept illegally, police raided Timsina’s house and seized garlands of 11.7 kg and other beads weighing 24 kg.

The arrested person has been sent to Division Forest Office, Kathmandu for further investigation.
