Lightning claims two women in Rolpa

ROLPA: Two women died after being struck in lightning that occurred in Rolpa on Friday.

The police said the deceased women have been identified as Khirmali Batha, 75; and Asha Budha, 21, of Gairigaun Nandikhola in Triveni Rural Municipality-7, Rolpa.

Seriously injured in the lightning while staying at homes, they succumbed to injuries on the way to the Rolpa Hospital, Deputy Superintendent of Police Chitra Bahadur Gurung said.

In the recent past, two people had died after being struck by the lightning. RSS
