Govt to set up 39 border outposts



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to set up 39 border outposts.

Presenting the federal budget for the fiscal year for 2020/21, in the parliament on Thursday, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said 39 BOPs of Armed Police Force will be established to protect international border of the country.

The government has also decided to increase the strength the police personnel.

The strength of the National Investigation Department will be increased, said Minister Khatiwada while presenting the budget.

Meanwhile, the government has also allocated the budget for the national defense university.

The government on Thursday announced the Federal Budget of Rs 1,474.64 billion for the fiscal year 2020/21.
