First COVID-19 case detected in Solukhumbu



KATHMANDU: A person in Solukhumbu has been infected with COVID-19.

This is the first COVID-19 case in Nepal’s Solukhumbu district.

A 27-year-old male from Solu Dudhkunda Municipality has tested positive for COVID-19, District Administration Office, Solukhumbu confirmed.

According to Rama Acharya, Chief District Officer, the person was confirmed with the virus after the swab test in the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku reported positive in two tests.

He has been refereed to Coronavirus Special Hospital, Biratnagar from the Phaplu-based District Hospital.
