KATHMANDU:  Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said the republic has been in jeopardy due to the behavior of the current government.

Offering greetings to all Nepali people in the country and abroad on the occasion of Federal Democratic Republic Day today, Koiral has stated that the goal and the aspirations Nepali people cherished when the republic was established have not been fulfilled.

Meanwhile, he paid tributes to all known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the course of establishment of the republic while recalling the historic 12-point understanding signed between the then Nepal government and the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist).
