76 new COVID-19 cases reported in Province-2

KATHMANDU: 76 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Province 2 on Thursday morning.

Most of the cases are from Dhanusha district.

The tests were confirmed at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory and the Dharan-based BP Koirala Health and Sciences Academy.

Among those infected, 29 are from Dhanusha, 17 from Mahottari, 14 from Saptari, 7 from Sarlahi, 6 from Siraha, and 3 from Rautahat districts, confirmed Senior Administrative Officer Dr Bijay Kumar Jha of Province 2 Health Directorate.

“76 news cases have been confirmed in Province-2,” he said.

According to Dr Jha, with this, the total number of positive cases in Province-2 has reached 400.

Among them, 97 have returned home after recovery.
