NA brings 14.8 tons of medical supplies from China

KATHMANDU: Nepal Army (NA) on Thursday morning brought around 14.8 tons of medical supplies from China in a Nepal Airlines wide-body plane.

NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey said that the wide-body plane landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport with some 14 tons of medical supplies from Guangzhou this morning.

The plane had flown to Guangzhou on Wednesday.

The NA was to bring some 47.5 tons of the 341 tons of medical supplies it procured from China by air.

It is bringing the rest by land.

The NA had earlier signed an agreement worth around Rs 2.25 billion with the China government-owned Sinopharm Group to bring around 341 tons of medical supplies.
