President calls for further consolidation of republic

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has lauded the efforts of all the political parties, their leaders and the people for their contribution in establishing republic in the country, while appealing them to work to further consolidate the republic.

In a message today on the 13th Republic Day, the President has expressed the confidence that the historical day would inspire all the Nepalis to become united for building a socio-economically and culturally civilized and prosperous society, while sustainably utilizing the natural resources of the country.

The President has also appealed to all to contribute from their respective side to overall development of the nation, while recalling the contribution of our forefathers to maintain territorial integrity and strengthen nationality of the country.

She has paid tributes to all Nepalis inside and out of the country, who lost their lives due to COVID-19 infection, and extended condolences towards the bereaved families.

President Bhandari also wished recovery of the people infected with Corona Virus and undergoing treatment.
