KATHMANDU: America has reported 1,536 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 102, 108.
According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 20, 432 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,745,689 so far.
Currently, 1,155,060 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 17,164 are critical. Meanwhile, 488,521 have recovered after treatment.
New York is the worst-hit with 29,553 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 11, 431 and 6,547 deaths, respectively.
The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.
Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 356,839 and infecting 5,781,649 people as of Thursday morning.
