Second, fifth COVID-19 infected girls boarded same flight from Doha

KATHMANDU: It has found that second and fifth coronavirus-infected persons had boarded the same flight from Doha to Kathmandu.

A 19-year-old Nepali girl who had arrived in Nepal from France via Qatar transit had tested positive for coronavirus on Monday while a 22-year-old girl who had recently returned from Belgium has tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

Both had arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) through a QR 652 flight of Qatar Airways on March 17.

There were 158 passengers on board the flight. Some 78 fellow passengers who had traveled the flight are in the quarantines of 48 districts.
