World’s most traveled barber cuts hair on Everest Base Camp

LONDON: Jess Palfrey, 26, a backpacker barber from Bristol of United Kindom has cut hair on  Everest Base Camp.

Armed only with a pair of scissors, beard trimmer, and a hairdressers’ robe, she has earned her keep by trimming hair across four continents including in front of the Hollywood sign, in Vatican City and holy temples in Asia, as well as at Rome’s Colosseum and 17,000ft up Mount Everest reports Leicestershire Live.

She has even cut hair in Egypt’s Red Sea after qualifying as a scuba diver during her travels. “It’s quite great how it all worked out”, she said.

“When I trained as a barber I realized I didn’t need a salon and I could be mobile”, she said, “This way I’m able to top up my funds while I travel and keep my friends happy”

“When I was up at base camp on Mount Everest it was absolutely freezing.”, she added, “I had to have my hand warmers on and have them wrapped around the battery to make sure it worked”, Bristol Live reported.

She explained that she did trim for half an hour there which was her standard time. She is always conscious about her battery on razor saying “All I have to do is make sure my battery is charged.”

“After I cut his hair he actually took a turn for the worst and had to be taken away by a helicopter. I had to keep telling everyone it had nothing to do with the haircut”, she laughed.

“This way I’m able to top up my funds while I travel and keep my friends happy”, she experienced.
