Case filed against CM Rai claiming him as husband



KATHMANDU: A woman has filed a case of alimony against Province 1 Chief Minister and leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Sherdhan Rai claiming him as her husband.

Balika Khadka hailing from Dolakha filed the case against CM Rai at Kathmandu District Court on Friday, according to Recordkeeper Aananda Prasad Shrestha.

In the case, Rai has claimed that she was married to CM Rai and Rai later subjected her to the domestic market.

She has demanded alimony of the property as per Section 215 of the National Civil Code.
