3 killed, 9 injured in Rupandehi trucks-collision

BUTWAL: Three people died and nine others sustained critical injuries when two trucks collided head-on in Rupandehi Rohini rural municipality-4 in Rupandehi district.

The accident took place when a truck, Na 2 Kha 8481, heading to Nawalparasi from Bhairahawa collided head-on with another truck coming from the opposite direction at 5 am today.

The deceased have been identified as Lali Kurmi, 34, and Bhabin Karki of Palhi Nandan rural municipality-4 and another Purna Bahadur Bhujel, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

The condition of the three among those injured is said to be critical.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College and Bhim Hospital, said District Police Office, Rupandehi.
