House dissolution an outcome of PM Oli’s anger: NC leader Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has alleged Prime Minister KP Oli of dissolving the House of Representatives (HoR) out of fury over the party’s inability to resolve internal disputes.

Speaking at a protest rally organized by Kathmandu Constituency No. 1 in New Baneswor on Monday, Singh came down heavily on Prime Minister Oli for taking an unconstitutional step by dissolving the HoR.

“Prime Minister Oli dissolved the HoR arliament and expressed his inability to manage the internal strife within the ruling Nepal Communist Party,” leader Singh said.

He added that Prime Minister Oli did not even dare to face a vote of confidence.

Singh said that Prime Minister Oli announced the dates for the general elections to prove revolutionary.

He also alleged the government for failing to control corruption in the country despite assurances of zero-tolerance on financial irregularities.

Singh further accused the PM Oli-led government for trying to keep the legislature and judiciary under its control.
