Eleven local levels in Gandaki Province listed excellent in controlling COVID-19

POKHARA: Eleven local levels in Gandaki Province including Baglung Municipality have been listed as excellent in making arrangements to prevent and control ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The local levels honored by the Health Directorate Pokhara include a local level in 11 districts in the province.

The selection of local levels for the honour was based on various works like managing quarantine facility and isolation and rescuing and treating infected people in preventing and controlling the infection.

The selection followed the demand by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development for a list of local levels which have done excellent work in this regard, said the Health Directorate section officer Nagendra Paudel.

The honored local levels are Jaljala Rural Municipality in Parbat district, Pokhara Metropolitan City in Kaski, Mangala Rural Municipality in Myagdi, Gharpajhong Rural Municipality in Mustang, Putalibazaar Municipality in Syangja, Devghat Rural Municipality in Tanahun, Sundarbazaar Municipality in Lamjung, Chame Rural Municipality in Manang, Aarughat Rural Municipality in Gorkha and Devchuli Municipality in Nawalpur.
