Biplav warns of action against those creating business out of pandemic



KATHMANDU: The Netra Bikram Chand’ Biplav’–led outfit has demanded the government provide free health check-up and treatment to the people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The party has also demanded an end to commissions and commercialization in the name of the coronavirus, action against the corrupt, and an end to Indian imperialist encroachment.

The outlawed party has stated that the pandemic has become “business’ for some people and has warned action against those involved in these activities and other corruption.

Publishing an appeal, the party has stressed the need to provide free health check-up and treatment to all those suspected of the coronavirus infection and end the negligence in the treatment of patients other than coronavirus and provide proper medicine.

“Security personnel, including the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, health workers, doctors, nurses, cleaners and security guards, who are fighting on the frontlines against the pandemic, should be ensured with social security with special financial facilities,” the appeal said.
