KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for October 31 has been postponed.
Issuing a press note on Wednesday, the central party office’s secretary duo Shree Ram Dhakal and Ishwari Rijal informed that the third CC meeting has been adjourned for November 30 to December 2, citing COVID-19.
Earlier, talking to Khabarhub, a CC member had informed that the meeting was likley to be posponed due to lack of preparations and coronavirus pandemic.
A 447-member jumbo CC of the ruling NCP has not taken place for a long time despite its demand from the concerned party leaders. The NCP has not held its CC meeting more than twice since then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) underwent merger to become Nepal Communist Party.
The CC meeting will discuss and endorse the work-plan on the party’s coming general convention.
