Chitwan records two fresh deaths linked with COVID-19



CHITWAN: Two more people infected with COVID-19 have died in Chitwan district.

According to Dr Dayaram Lamsal, the director at Chitwan Medical College, a 54-year-old man of Gaindakot municipality-2 died from COVID-19 at the hospital.

The patient, who was admitted to the hospital on October 19, tested positive for COVID-19 on the following day.

Diabetic patient was being treated on ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

Similarly, a 19-year-old coronavirus-infected girl of Gorkha died in the course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan district.

Originally from Barpak Sulikot rural municipality-1, the girl had been admitted to the hospital on October 22 after testing positive for COVID-19 on October 21.

She was undergoing treatment at ICU of the hospital.

With this, the number of COVID-19 deaths in Nepal has reached 878 in Nepal.

The Ministry of Health and Population had confirmed 14 deaths linked with the virus on Tuesday alone.
