IPL2020: Hyderabad defeats Delhi by 88 runs



KATHMANDU: Sunrisers Hyderabad has defeated Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane-involved Delhi Capitals by 88 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match in the United Arab Emirates.

Held in Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday night, Delhi could achieve only 131 runs while chasing the 220-run target set by Hyderabad.

Delhi’s RR Pant scored highest 36 runs including three fours and one six off 35 balls while AM Rahane and TU Deshpande made 26 and 20 runs respectively.

In reply, Hyderabad’s Rashid Khan took highest three wickets of Delhi while Sandeep Sharma and T Natarajan grabbed two wickets each.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Hyderabad made 219 runs losing two wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Delhi’s WP Saha top-scored with 87 runs followed by DA Warner with 66 while MK Pandey contributed 44 not out runs and remained not out.

With this win, Hyderabad climbed up the sixth position with 10 points from 12 games while Delhi is in the third position with 14 points from 12 games.
