38-year-old woman dies of COVID-19 in Dharan



DHARAN: A coronavirus infected woman has died while undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).

According to the institute, a 38-year-old woman from Dharan-2 succumbed to the pandemic at around 6 am this morning.

BPKIHS Spokesperson Dr. Nidesh Sapkota stated that the patient was admitted to the emergency room of the institute at 11: 50 pm on Sunday.

The patient had a fever, cough, respiratory problems and symptoms of pneumonia.

Spokesperson Sapkota added that the patient underwent a PCR test, and the report was positive for the pandemic virus.

A total of 35 people have died of the coronavirus at the institute so far. Similarly, as many as 64 people, including 19 women and 45 men have died due to the infection in Province-1.
